The International Telecommunication Union has developed the first set of standards for IP- TV


The International Telecommunication Union (ITU, ITU) has developed the first set of standards for IP- TV / IP-TV /. This was said in the ITU.





New standards developed by the working group on IP-TV the ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU's Telecommunication Standardization Sector - ITU-T).





Development of standards is one of the basic conditions yield IP-TV services to the mass global market. It is predicted that the number of IP-TV subscribers in the world for the next three years to reach 100 million.





Further work on standards, IP-TV will continue as part of a global initiative to standardize IPTV (global standards initiative - IPTV-GSI). It is planned to prepare 21 papers on network requirements for IP-TV, their architecture, quality of service (QoS), security protocols, broadcasting, etc..
